Ivermectin

This product is a macrolide antiparasitic drug (ivermectin), which causes neuromuscular paralysis and death by activating GABA receptors in the parasite. It is mainly used for gastrointestinal nematodes, lung nematodes, and external parasites (scabies mites, lice, ticks) in cattle, sheep, and pigs. It can also be used for the prevention of heartworm in dogs and cats and for deworming poultry.

描述

CAS No. 70288-86-7
Molecular Formula: C48H74O14

Appearance: White or off-white crystalline powder or flakes, odorless; almost insoluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, toluene, and chloroform

Pharmacological Action: Macrolide antiparasitic drug (avermectin derivative). It binds to GABA receptors and glutamate-gated Cl⁻ channels in the parasite’s nerve/muscle cells → Cl⁻ influx → hyperpolarization → neuromuscular paralysis → parasite rigidity and death. Highly effective against nematodes (tapeworms/trematodes) and spider insects (mites, lice, ticks, scabies mites, itch mites); ineffective against trematodes and tapeworms; lacks GABA-mediated pathway in the mammalian BBB → wide therapeutic window.

Indications: Internal and external parasites in cattle, sheep, and pigs—gastrointestinal nematodes (Haemaphysalis/Oster/Trichophyton/Esophagocytoid/Strongyloides, etc.), lungworms (Ducella), scabies mites, itch mites, lice, ticks, and pig kidney worms; prevention of heartworm in dogs and cats (micro-dose formulation), ear mites, and scabies mites.

Eliminating nematodes (roundworms, capillary nematodes) and external parasites (feather lice, rare fowl mites/scabies mites) in chickens/turkeys/pigeons/quails; often formulated as a spray/injection for deworming breeder flocks; generally contraindicated in laying hens during egg production (fat-soluble residues).

Storage Conditions: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. Keep away from oxidizers. Store at 2-8 ºC.
