Doxycycline Hyclate

It is a broad-spectrum antibacterial semi-synthetic tetracycline (doxycycline hydrochloride), which inhibits protein synthesis by binding to bacterial 30S ribosomes. It is mainly used to prevent and treat Gram-negative/Gram-negative bacterial and mycoplasmal infections in pigs and poultry, such as mycoplasma pneumonia, porcine swine dysentery, ileitis, and pasteurellosis.

描述

CAS No. 24390-14-5
Molecular Formula: C₂₂H₂₄N₂O₈·HCl·½H₂O·½C₂H₆O

Appearance: Pale yellow to yellowish-brown crystalline powder, bitter taste, hygroscopic; readily soluble in water and methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, practically insoluble in chloroform and ether; gradually changes color upon exposure to light.

Pharmacological Action: Semi-synthetic tetracycline-class broad-spectrum antibacterial antibiotic, with antibacterial activity 2–10 times that of oxytetracycline and still effective against many tetracycline-resistant bacteria. It binds to the A site of the bacterial 30S ribosome → blocks aminoacyl-tRNA → inhibits protein synthesis. Effective against Gram-negative and Gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma, rickettsia, chlamydia, and some protozoa (eperythrozoonosis, toxoplasmosis).

Indications: Prevention and treatment of swine/avian mycoplasmal pneumonia, eperythrozoonosis, toxoplasmosis (in combination with sulfonamides), swine dysentery (Treponema pallidum), ileitis, pasteurellosis, avian CRD/airsacculitis, bovine transport fever, and aquatic vibriosis.

Storage conditions: Sealed, protected from light, cool and dry (<25℃), keep away from moisture.
