Tilmicosin

This product is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic (tilmicosin) specifically for livestock and poultry. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to bacterial 50S ribosomes. It is mainly used to prevent and treat pleuropneumonia, Haemophilus parasuis infection, and mycoplasma infection in pigs and cattle, as well as chronic respiratory disease and Mycoplasma synoviae infection in poultry.

描述

CAS No. 108050-54-0
Molecular Formula: C46H80N2O13

Appearance: White to pale yellow crystalline powder, slightly bitter taste; insoluble in water, soluble in methanol, chloroform, DMF, and dilute acids (forming salts); phosphate is a white to off-white powder, readily soluble in water.

Caution: Tilmicosin raw material dust is irritating to eyes and skin; wear protective gear during handling.

Pharmacological Action: Semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic for livestock and poultry (tylosin derivative). Binds to bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit 23S rRNA → inhibits peptide chain elongation → inhibits protein synthesis (primarily antibacterial; high concentrations are bactericidal against APP). Highly sensitive to porcine APP (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae), HPS (Haemophilus parasuis), Pasteurella multocida, and Mycoplasma (swine/poultry); effective against some Streptococci and Staphylococcus aureus; not sensitive to Gram-negative bacilli (Escherichia coli, Salmonella).

Indications: Swine/bovine respiratory disease syndrome (APP, HPS, Pm, Mhp), avian chronic respiratory disease/air sacculitis (in combination with doxycycline), bovine foot rot (local + systemic).

Chicken/duck chronic respiratory disease (CRD/Mycoplasma), Mycoplasma synoviae (MS) infection—reduces mortality from air sacculitis and joint swelling; used in combination with doxycycline to control mixed infections of Mycoplasma and Escherichia coli; contraindicated in laying hens.

Storage Conditions: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry warehouse.
