Tylosin Tartrate

It is a macrolide broad-spectrum antibiotic (tylosin), which inhibits protein synthesis by binding to bacterial 50S ribosomes. It is mainly used to prevent and treat secondary bacterial infections such as mycoplasma infection (respiratory disease/CRD), infectious pleuropneumonia, and atrophic rhinitis in pigs and poultry.

描述

CAS No. 74610-55-2
Molecular Formula: C50H83NO23

Appearance: White to pale yellow crystalline powder, bitter taste, hygroscopic; readily soluble in water (>500mg/mL), soluble in methanol and ethanol, practically insoluble in chloroform and ether; aqueous solution pH≈5.0~7.5

Pharmacological Action: Macrolide broad-spectrum antibacterial antibiotic (bactericidal effect on some bacteria at bactericidal concentrations). Binds to bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit 23S rRNA → inhibits peptide chain translocation → blocks protein synthesis. Effective against Gram-negative bacteria (Streptococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, Corynebacterium pyogenes), Mycoplasma (highly sensitive to swine/avian Mycoplasma), some spirochetes, Vibrio, and Chlamydia; weakly effective against Gram-negative bacteria (except for a few Vibrio species). Tylosin can also be used as a growth promoter feed additive.

Indications: Mycoplasma infection in pigs/poultry (respiratory disease/CRD), infectious pleuropneumonia in pigs (in combination with florfenicol), atrophic rhinitis in pigs, mycoplasma synoviae in poultry (in combination with aminoglycosides), control of secondary bacterial infections; tylosin premixes are used to promote growth.

Storage conditions: Sealed, protected from light and moisture, store at 2-8 ℃.
