Molecular Formula: C₂₂H₂₄N₂O₉
Appearance: Pale yellow to beige crystalline powder, odorless or slightly odorous; slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in water, soluble in dilute acids/bases; stable in air but gradually darkens in color upon exposure to light; easily destroyed and inactivated in alkaline solutions.
Pharmacological Action: Tetracycline-class broad-spectrum antibacterial antibiotic. Binds to the A site of the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, preventing aminoacyl-tRNA attachment → inhibiting peptide chain elongation → blocking protein synthesis. Effective against Gram-negative (G⁺) and Gram-negative (G⁻) bacteria, mycoplasma, rickettsia, chlamydia, spirochetes, and some protozoa; has bactericidal effects at high concentrations.
Indications/Applications: Veterinary drug preparation raw material: Prevention and treatment of swine enzootic pneumonia (mycoplasmal pneumonia), swine/calf/lamb E. coli/Salmonella infections (yellow and white diarrhea, paratyphoid), avian chronic respiratory disease (CRD), bovine pasteurellosis, ovine brucellosis, aquatic bacterial septicemia/enteritis/gill rot/Edwardsiosis, etc.
Feed drug additive: Subtherapeutic doses can promote growth and improve feed conversion ratio (must comply with local regulations and withdrawal period requirements).
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep containers sealed. Store separately from oxidizers, acids, alkalis, etc., and never mix with other substances. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Do not use machinery or tools that may generate sparks. The storage area should be equipped with spill response equipment and suitable containment materials.
